Selected files and browser saves

The website’s launcher holds references to files you choose and reads the small portions needed for validation and playback. It does not send your ISO or build files to a compilation server, nor store a persistent copy of the entire ISO. Reloading requires selecting your files again. Closing a session releases the launcher’s file references.

Imported builds execute code with this site’s origin privileges, including possible network access; the launcher’s no-upload behavior is not a guarantee about arbitrary imported code. Use only trusted builds. The upstream build may keep memory cards in this origin’s browser storage. Export them before clearing site data or changing browser, device or domain.

Third-party playback

Play!.js is loaded from playjs.purei.org only after you open the embedded player or follow its external link. That service receives normal web requests, including your IP address and browser information. Files chosen inside its frame are handled by its code, not by this launcher. See the official player and its source.

The embedded player uses temporary credentialless storage and does not share its session with the standalone page. Closing or reloading may discard progress. We cannot promise third-party file behavior or save persistence.

Optional analytics: your choice, everywhere

The same privacy choices apply worldwide. Google Analytics (G-842XS2GHH5) and Microsoft Clarity (yzg5fkiurq) load on the home page only after you choose Accept analytics. Before a choice, after rejection, or after withdrawal and reload, neither library loads. Informational pages provide privacy controls but do not load either analytics service.

If accepted, Google Analytics measures visits and interactions using device/browser information, page URLs, events and cookies such as _ga and _ga_*. Clarity measures interactions and supports session replay using cookies such as _clck and _clsk. Provider requests expose normal connection metadata, including an IP address. These services may process data outside your country.

Consent is for analytics only. This site sends denied advertising-storage, advertising-user-data and advertising-personalization signals to Google, disables Google signals and ad-personalization signals in its tag, and sends denied ad-storage consent to Clarity. We do not use these integrations for personalized advertising or remarketing. No AdSense advertising is currently loaded.

The launcher’s file selections, generated commands and player containers are marked for Clarity masking, alongside the project’s balanced masking setting. This reduces recorded content; it does not make arbitrary third-party code or imported builds private. This site does not deliberately send game files to its analytics providers.

Accept, reject or withdraw

Use Privacy choices in any page footer to review or change your decision. Accept and Reject are equally available, and the launcher remains available if you reject or dismiss the prompt. After accepting, choose Withdraw consent to stop optional analytics. Changing your choice applies to other open pages on this origin.

Withdrawal reloads open home pages that have started these scripts so their listeners and timers are removed. Save or export game progress first: reloading may end a player session or discard unsaved progress. Withdrawal removes this site’s accessible Google Analytics and Clarity cookies; it does not erase previously sent data or cookies on providers’ own domains. Browser settings can manage other cookies. We do not clear game saves or unrelated storage.

Your choice and its timestamp are stored in this browser’s local storage under ps2webrecomp.analytics-consent.v1 and honored for up to 180 days. We ask again on your next visit after expiry; the stored record is replaced by your next choice or removed when you clear site data. This preference is needed to remember your decision and is not an advertising identifier. If storage is unavailable, the decision can only apply to the current page. Clearing site data or using another browser may show the prompt again; back up game saves before clearing site data.

Open privacy choices

Cookieless statistics and hosting

The home page continues to use self-hosted Plausible at stats.blackholeenglish.com for cookieless aggregate traffic statistics, independently of the optional analytics choice. Its requests include page and connection information. Rejecting optional analytics does not turn off Plausible or the hosting requests needed to deliver this website.

Cloudflare delivers the website and may process request metadata for delivery and security. Provider details are available from Plausible, Google, Microsoft and Cloudflare. This policy does not specify a provider data-retention period we have not verified.

Other controls and contact

You can also block analytics domains using browser controls or extensions. To avoid the embedded third party, do not open it; our analytics choice does not control the separate Play!.js service. Selecting a trusted local build is a separate action.
